What you need:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of facility maintenance repair and minor construction estimating experience at similar facility maintenance operations
- Communicate well and ability to work with a multi-disciplined team environment
- Proof of United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance
The skills/experience we want to see:
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications, perform takeoffs in order to develop cost estimates for multiple trades
- Review work order specifications, basis of design, and drawings to determine scope of work
- Work closely with facility managers, engineering, and tradesman to perform pre-construction design reviews, plan and estimate maintenance repair activities
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and develop purchase requests in MAXIMO or other material procurement tracking software
- Proficient computer skills with programs such as Excel or Word and other Microsoft Office programs
- Experience Developing cost estimates using RS Means CostWorks estimating software
- Diverse background in multiple trades including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural
- Thorough knowledge of safety rules and applicable building codes
- Experience writing statements of work to support project requirements
