We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Team Leader to oversee our plant manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards, including TS16949 and ISO14001. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to quality, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members by promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Conduct regular safety audits and training to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation and compliance of all quality policies and procedures. Ensure thorough documentation and corrective actions for any deviations from standard workflow to uphold product integrity.
- Operational Efficiency: Maximize equipment utilization by monitoring performance and swiftly addressing any operational issues that hinder production capacity. Develop strategies to enhance direct and indirect efficiency across manufacturing processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and implement follow-up actions from Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, and other improvement activities on the production floor. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging team members in identifying opportunities for operational enhancements.
- Training and Development: Establish and maintain a comprehensive training process for all team members. Ensure that all employees are adequately trained and competent in their roles to maintain high standards of production and safety.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with plant engineering and maintenance teams to ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and functioning optimally. Advocate for necessary upgrades and repairs to enhance operational reliability.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Quality, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a track record of leadership and operational excellence.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to support operational needs and initiatives.
