Summary:
The analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Demonstrates and supports our core values
- Performs procedures that involve basic operation and calibration of area-specific
- instrumentation
- Performs basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and/or methods
- Demonstrates consistent and reliable performance in work procedures and
- methodology
- Knowledgeable in work procedures to the point of being able to successfully train
- others
- Ability and willingness to take special assignments
- Ability to perform peer review of analytical data
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Meets production goals with minimal supervision
Typical Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, or related science degree
One or more years of related laboratory experience is required.
