Key responsibilities
- Lead projects to improve equipment cleanliness, debottleneck processes, enhance throughput, reduce waste, and decrease costs.
- Ensure compliance with sanitary design standards and assist in HACCP studies and cGMP compliance.
- Maintain the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations, adhering to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process.
- Utilize data analysis techniques (SPC, Six Sigma), Root-Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and modified equipment operations.
- Write, debug, and troubleshoot process control logic using standard software, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Provide engineering support to R&D activities during pilot and production trials.
- Advise on and recommend improvements in operational safety, environmental protection, and employee health/industrial hygiene.
- Manage capital projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements, stay on-time, and within budget.
- Conduct feasibility studies and present cost-effective project approaches.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical Engineering or Electrical engineering is required.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
- Process reliability experience preferred.
- Versed in project schedules, cost estimates, PFDs, P&IDs, site and elevation drawings, utilities requirements development, interpretation of P&IDs, with a good understanding of process and instrumentation control.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
