Job Title: Junior Analyst
Location: Hybrid; 3 days in-office after training
Salary: Up to $60,000 base, no bonus
Job Summary
The Junior Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data used for reporting and analytics. This entry-level position is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, has a degree in finance or a related analytical field, and is enthusiastic about supporting data quality and integrity. Reporting to the greater analytics team, the Junior Analyst will conduct timely audits, address data anomalies, and continuously improve data quality, which is essential for building trust in business insights and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular data assessments to identify and document quality issues, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies.
- Work collaboratively with teams to address data anomalies, root out causes of issues, and implement resolutions.
- Actively facilitate data cleansing and enrichment by identifying errors and redundancies, proposing solutions to enhance data quality.
- Validate the completeness and accuracy of both new and ongoing data sources.
- Develop and maintain procedures for data validation across various datasets and reporting needs.
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) by ensuring timely updates and consistency in data standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, validation steps, and issue resolutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, or a related analytical field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Analytics, or Project Management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in restaurant/QSR, retail, or multi-unit environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, or other data visualization and reporting tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule with three in-office days after initial training, allowing for a 3/2 in-office and remote work structure once established and integrated with the finance team.
