Job Title: Financial Controller

Position Overview:
As the Controller, you will be a key member of the accounting team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, drive financial planning, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the organization. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry and a proven ability to navigate the financial challenges unique to the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Drive the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial reporting standards.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow effectively to support ongoing operations and capital projects.
- Implement measures to optimize working capital and reduce financial risks.
Capital Structure and Financing:
- Evaluate and recommend financing options to support growth initiatives.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and oversee debt covenants.
Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Collaborate with operational teams to analyze project costs and identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvement.
- Implement and monitor cost management initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure a holistic approach to company-wide success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as an accounting leader.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction financial management, including project costing and revenue recognition.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
