Maintenance Manager
Salary: $70-80k per year plus bonus 10-20% of base pay = $77k-100K+
Schedule: Day shift Monday - Friday
This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of food facilities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and improving our processes for efficiency, operational safety, and food safety.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our food/dietary supplement manufacturing company and lead our maintenance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment and facilities, as well as the safety and efficiency of our maintenance operations. You will also oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of maintenance tasks, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet our maintenance goals.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in maintenance, preferably in the food or dietary supplement industry. You should also have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with your team and other departments.

Job Responsibilities -
- Supervision: Direct and manage a part time maintenance tech, ensuring they complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Team Leads to develop maintenance schedules, work orders, and preventive maintenance plans.
- Team Development: Train, coach, and develop team members to improve their skills and ensure a high level of competency within the team.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure the completion of maintenance tasks on time and within budget.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the repair, inspection, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, and supplies, and ensure their availability when needed for maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and provide regular reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
- Food Safety: Learn and develop a sound understanding of the relevant CFR regulations for Food and Dietary Supplements and be able to incorporate that into our production and maintenance processes
- Process Engineering – Work with plant manager and team leads to improve processes to reduce down time, improve quality, and safety
- Commissioning New Lines: Manage onboarding new lines completing Install, operating, and performance qualification procedures along with defining and documenting production processes
- Mechanical Engineering – Work with Shop assets to make improvements, modify or create tooling, and Kaizen Projects

- Able to read and understand schematics
Education and Training
- High school diploma or GED; a technical or trade school certificate is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance and at least 5 years in a maintenance or engineering role.
