StaffBright is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a dynamic and growing automotive plant in Defiance, Ohio. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within an automotive plant environment, and will be ready to make an immediate impact in driving process improvements and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Act as a key liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design teams, ensuring effective Design for Manufacturability (DFM) processes and seamless integration of design changes.
- Process Improvement Leadership: Conduct routine process analyses to evaluate overall plant performance, identify inefficiencies, and lead initiatives to optimize processes. Drive improvements by working directly with cross-functional teams or your direct report group.
- KPI Monitoring & Action: Independently monitor key plant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to identify areas for optimization. Champion data-driven actions to ensure consistent improvement in production output, quality, and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Use your expertise to identify and resolve technical challenges that impact manufacturing processes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally within an automotive production environment.
- Education: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-disciplined approach to work. Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment.
