Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing soil, rock, and other materials to design foundations and earth structures. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and stability of construction projects by assessing geotechnical risks and providing expert solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations to assess soil and rock properties.
- Perform materials testing and evaluate construction materials for compliance with specifications.
- Design and analyze foundations, including shallow and deep systems.
- Evaluate slope stability and propose solutions for earth retention systems such as retaining walls.
- Assess seismic risks and provide recommendations for liquefaction and settlement mitigation.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Geotechnical Engineer (GE) license strongly preferred.
- Strong design skills including retaining walls and shallow/deep foundation design.
- Knowledge of slope stability evaluations, seismic hazard mitigation, ground improvement techniques, etc.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Pay/Benefits
- Strong Pay ($90K - $140K)
