Microsoft Business Central Conversion Specialist (Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the transition of our manufacturing company from a legacy Unix-based system to Microsoft Business Central. This critical role requires expertise in system conversions and the ability to work hands-on in a challenging environment.
Location:
Hybrid role based in Bellwood, IL on-site presence 1–2 days per week.
About the Role:
Our systems and hardware are nearing the end of their lifecycle, and we are in the early stages of migrating to Microsoft Business Central. To date, data has been uploaded, but no operational functions are active in the new system. We need a seasoned professional who has successfully converted a manufacturing company from Unix to Microsoft Business Central.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the system migration from Unix to Business Central.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify needs and gaps during the transition.
- Provide technical and operational support during the implementation process.
- Train and guide non-technical staff to effectively adopt and use the new system.
- Troubleshoot issues and work closely with the limited IT resources available (currently one IT staff member).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Manufacturing industry experience is a must.
- Proven success in migrating systems from Unix to Microsoft Business Central.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with technically unsavvy users.
- Ability to thrive in a resource-constrained environment and provide hands-on support.
