Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our construction team. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and safety protocols.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring they understand project plans, schedules, and quality expectations.
- Safety Management: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and ensure the job site complies with all safety regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections and quality checks, ensuring work meets company standards and project specifications.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact on-site, coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain daily logs, RFI documentation, project reports, and ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts that may arise on-site.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Project Experience: Proven track record of successful project completion, preferably with a mix of commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification required; First Aid/CPR and additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
