Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our team, with a specialized focus on Account Based Selling for both the software and service industries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing teams and driving growth through innovative account-based strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation, launch, rollout, and ongoing execution of a targeted account selling program, ensuring alignment with sales goals and collaboration across teams.
Your sole goal will be to lead the team to achieve and surpass their SQL/top-of-funnel metrics.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll use a mix of reporting dashboards and marketing data to ensure that the top of the funnel is filled with qualified leads. The right candidate should have experience in leading BDR teams and reporting on key growth metrics. This role will work with both the North America and EMEA sales teams.
Responsibilities
Account Based Selling Project Management
- Work closely with VP of Business Development to create and implement account based selling strategies tailored to high-value accounts in both software and service sectors of our business.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to design personalized marketing campaigns.
- Apply Outbound Best Practices to create cadences that include calls, email, meeting invites, LinkedIn connect, etc.
- Lead and manage a team of business development professionals, providing coaching and support.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Analyze ABM campaign performance, delivering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Create, manage and maintain team performance dashboards.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in business development and account management, particularly within the SaaS industry.
- Must be able to build dashboards and pull reports in Salesforce to regularly report on pipeline development, key metrics and show the impact of the target account sales program.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
- In-depth understanding of Account Based Marketing principles and practices.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Zoominfo and ABM tools.
- Highly motivated, with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of current Outbound trends and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, including Hubspot and Sales Engagement tools including Groove by Clari.
- Procure To Pay industry experience.
