About the Company: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in high-voltage systems to join our manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects, designing and maintaining electrical systems, and ensuring the reliable operation of high-voltage equipment within our production environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with high-voltage electrical systems, an in-depth understanding of safety standards, and a passion for optimizing electrical infrastructure to meet production needs.
About the Role: Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, focusing on high-voltage systems (e.g., substations, transformers, switchgear). Develop detailed specifications and system layouts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems and equipment. Ensure reliable operation of the plant’s electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical designs, installations, and maintenance activities meet applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations, including OSHA and NEC (National Electrical Code). Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and other engineering departments, to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Select appropriate electrical components and systems for high-voltage applications, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the procurement of materials for electrical projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Lead troubleshooting efforts during system failures and provide technical support for complex electrical issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve electrical system performance, reduce downtime, and optimize energy efficiency across the facility. Recommend upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
- Create and maintain accurate engineering documentation, including system schematics, maintenance records, and project reports. Provide regular updates to management on project progress and system performance.
Qualifications:
