Job Title: Fine Arts Support Professional

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The role of the Fine Arts Support Professional involves providing comprehensive support to Fine Arts programs by actively facilitating collaboration between district leadership and school faculty and supporting Fine Arts events and engagement activities in accordance with scheduling requirements. The role extends to contract facilitation and actively participating in the development of community partnerships to foster sustained connections with RPS Fine Arts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.

- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Coordinates clinician and venue contracts for Fine Arts programs.
- Coordinates K-12 Fine Arts purchase requests for non-consumable items: a wide range of materials for K-12 Music, Art, and Theatre programs:
- Maintains, manages, and updates RPS Fine Arts landing page on website.
- Collaborates with the RPS Director of Fine Arts, Fine Arts faculty, CAPA faculty, and community partners to determine appropriate strategies for event management and planning. This includes coordination of and attendance at all RPS Fine Arts Event Series:
- Coordinates education workshops, classes, and various Arts-related opportunities
- Coordinates Fine Arts program components, support needs, and materials (e.g., negotiating contracts with vendors, reserving space, etc.) for the purpose of meeting district and/or program guidelines
- Attends Fine Arts workshop planning sessions and coordinates workshop scheduling for both facilities, schools, and student attendance
- Coordinates and designs Fine Arts internal and external promotional marketing and informational materials (posters, programs, photography, brochures, invitations, mail, public reports, paid print, broadcast and digital advertising, newsletters, emails, school visits, etc.) for district Fine Arts events to be published
- Utilizes a range of computer software applications to develop and design detailed promotional communications for Fine Arts events and student workshops/enrichment opportunities
- Collaborates with the RPS Curriculum Materials Specialist regarding instrument inventory and materials at RPS Distribution/Operations
- Fosters positive relationships with artists, performers, and vendors to enhance collaboration and ensure the success of RPS Fine Arts initiatives.
- Acts as a liaison between the district and external partners, addressing concerns and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Provides support to the RPS Schools Team, Central office, and school-based staff in shaping a positive image for RPS Fine Arts.
- Regular local travel to RPS schools and community partner sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Arts or related field preferred. At least 2 years of experience actively participating in or contributing to Music, Theatre, and/or Visual Arts activities, projects, or programs preferred.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.
- Ability to quickly grasp district procedures, requirements, and activities, coupled with an aptitude for learning and understanding the goals and objectives of the RPS Fine Arts Department.
- Skilled in the use of software or able to learn software, including Google Suite, DocuSign, Microsoft Office products, and Business Plus to enhance overall efficiency and collaboration in administrative tasks.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and ability to efficiently manage tasks and responsibilities to ensure streamlined and effective operations.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, articulating ideas clearly and concisely while fostering effective and open dialogue.
- Proficient in utilizing purchasing software applications to track and organize procurement activities, demonstrating a keen ability to efficiently manage purchase orders, vendor interactions, and inventory records.
WORK CALENDAR: 12 months
WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work, including evenings and weekends.
