Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction efforts for electrical projects. This hybrid remote role is crucial for ensuring projects are planned effectively, meeting both client and company expectations while adhering to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction phase for electrical projects, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance project planning and execution.
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for electrical systems and components in alignment with project scopes.
- Ensure compliance with LEED standards and other sustainability initiatives during the preconstruction phase.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical project management or preconstruction roles.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools and project management software.
- Experience with BIM technologies and their application in construction projects.
- Familiarity with LEED certification processes and sustainable building practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with design build estimating from schematic design through permits is a huge plus!
