The Platform Product Leader will pay a key role in orchestrating the growth and optimization of Hexagon’s Digital Reality Cloud Platform (HxDR), by creating a symbiotic environment that benefits both users and producers. Unlike traditional product managers who focus on user-facing features, the Platform Product Leader will navigate the intersection of technology, business, and user experience with a wider lens. They will operate at the nexus of multiple teams — engineering, sales, marketing, product management, R&D, customer service, and more. They must understand the intricacies of the underlying technology stack, APIs, and architectural components. However, they also need to articulate the business value of these complex systems to a broad audience, from C-suite executives to software engineers.
A crucial part of this role involves defining the technological direction of the platform. They must understand the needs of both external developers and customers, and in-house teams, ensuring that the platform provides an efficient, reliable, and secure foundation for product development.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
- Work on and assist in developing the product strategy, product vision, product roadmap, goals, and metrics
- Help in the development of all customer-facing features by helping the relevant constituencies and teams
- Convert the strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames
- Prioritize work by approving and disproving various tasks, and help make prioritization tradeoffs smoother
- Assist the product team by adequately resourcing different tasks
- Provide help and insight to the product team in developing a compelling product roadmap that’s based on customer needs, strategic opportunities, and overall company resources
- Work with the data science and finance teams to extrapolate the financial metrics needed to measure the success of the product roadmap
- Help work out the product function, including how it works and affects the various teams
- Assist company professionals in developing a working business model
- Work along with the product development team to figure out how various software products would work with other products and services offered by the company
- Categorize new products according to existing product lines
- Develop inter-company communication and collaboration systems
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- College Degree – Masters a plus
- 5+ Years of SaaS Product Management Experience
- Industry knowledge of reality capture market trends and directional awareness of Hexagon’s roadmap and technology development efforts.
- Knowledge of how to deliver Hexagon’s reality capture solutions and maintains a general understanding of competitive selling strategies and competitors.
- Proven experience leading a product team and working in a global matrixed environment
- Solid track record in building, developing and recruiting diverse high-performance teams based on a large network of talent
- Demonstrated success working in a matrix manner with his/her extended teams, such as Support, Finance, WW Presales, HR, Product Management and other relevant organizations.
- Highly commercial in orientation, with a strong focus on the customer and a clear commitment to generating topline growth.
- A highly autonomous individual that can lead a multi-functional project from the ground up and make things happen.
- A progressive thinker, extremely focused and capable of creating an evolving strategy to meet and anticipate both near and long-term development issues.
- A validated leader who can drive broader business conversations beyond his/her functional expertise and interface with C Level executives to gain buy-in and support
