Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Associate to manage the daily processing of the firm's dividends and corporate actions responsibilities. This role involves direct communication with trading groups and clients, as well as accurate processing of cash and stock movements related to dividends and corporate actions. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in dividend and corporate actions processing, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Notify trading groups and clients daily of upcoming cash/stock dividends and corporate actions, using email and the XCITEK XSP application.
- Liaise with trading desks and clients on updates for active voluntary and mandatory reorganizations, including stock splits, name changes, and tender offers.
- Process stock and cash movements related to dividends and corporate actions via the FIS Phase3 accounting system.
- Transmit intentions daily through DTC, using systems like DTC CA WEB, CLAIMCONNECT, EDS, SDAR, Liability Notice (180 Letter), and DTC Portal functionality.
- Handle daily reporting and communication on international stock and cash dividends; liaise with local market agents overseas (Euroclear & Clearstream).
- Knowledge of tax treaties on foreign dividends and local market processing required.
- Process dividends related to securities lending, ADR/ORD conversions, and dividend claims for international stock borrow/loan contracts.
- Serve as a backup to team members and assist in security master/static data setup responsibilities.
- Daily reporting to management on inventory positions, operational suspense accounts, outstanding dividends, and exposure on voluntary offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cash and stock dividends processing and corporate actions events.
- Familiarity with DTCC and associated functionality, including dividend and corporate actions elections.
- Experience with FIS Phase3 and XCITEK XSP applications, and knowledge of Sungard/Phase3 processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- FINRA Series 99 (Desired).
