The candidate must also possess oral and written communication skills and knowledge of construction safety practices. Must reside around Knoxville.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are being met on our job sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Coach employees regarding PPE, tool safety, and safe working practices.
- Conduct safety related instruction during new hire orientation.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Prepare monthly reports for site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, site work hours, and mileage.
- Plan and host safety meetings and assist the Director of Training for the annual Safety Day.
- Stay updated on the latest safety laws and industry best practices to ensure our safety programs are current and effective.
- Other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role within MEP commercial construction.
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management or occupational health is preferred.
- OSHA 510 or the ability to obtain shortly after an employment offer.
- Once prerequisites are met, OSHA 500 will be required.
- Able to travel within our Knoxville service area.
