The Site Manager provides on-site field supervision and technical management for all construction operations. He/she is accountable for the successful performance and profit of each project. This is accomplished through:
Leadership
- Create foundational trust based on the highest integrity and the dignity of every person
- Lead safety consciousness and actions to achieve company goals and meet industry standards
- Inspect and provide leadership work in progress to ensure workmanship adheres to quality standards and project specifications
- Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship adheres to quality standards and project specifications
- Plan, schedule, and direct all site activities including personnel, equipment, and subcontractors in the planning and executing of work activities
- Coordinate phases of construction to avoid delays
- In coordination with the Project Manager, ensure all labor, materials, and subcontractors are onsite when required
- Direct personnel and subcontractor sin the planning and executing of work activities and coordinate phases of construction to avoid delays
- Effectively communicate with others, including but not limited to suppliers, customers, and employees
- Cultivate relationships with existing customers through success project delivery
- Seek new opportunities in conjunction with Bristol Group’s business development strategies
Creation / Development/ Maintenance
- Develop and manage project schedules and two week look ahead schedules
- Accurately submit daily / weekly reporting
- Review and maintain field set of drawings
- Work in conjunction with management to prepare personnel forecast to project employment and equipment needs
- Accountability for assigned equipment and tool on the project
- Actively participate in policy and procedure development
Financial Controls
- Manage the project budget and attain or exceed profit goals
- Monitor labor actual vs. budget on self-performed work
Success of the position is measured by:
- Project safety; incidents, lost time accidents, regulatory sanctions / fines
- Quality and cost of rework
- Project profitability – Project budgets are met or exceeded
- Projects delivered on time
- Productivity – Labor cost vs target
- Customer complaints
To perform this job successfully the employee must have the following:
- An Associates of Sciences degree in Construction Management and/or equivalent experience
- 5 – 10 years of design-build construction experience
- The ability to operate a computer, computer networks, common software and communication devices.
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of safety/training knowledge
- The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information for clear understanding
- The ability to understand broad direction and then formulate and execute detailed complex plans to meet that direction
- The ability to make complex judgments in the interest of the company and employees
- The ability to demonstrate and be considered a leader in company values
- Duties may also include other related management and engineering activities as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
- Individuals will be selected and trained for this position at the discretion of the Vice President
