Exciting strategic procurement development and transformation opportunity with a profitable and growing multi-billion dollar global market leader in consumer products manufacturing (beauty and personal care). Position will be on-site 1-2 days a week in corporate office in Northern New Jersey. Position will lead the indirect procurement function, with a primary focus on manufacturing support for 25+ sites, optimizing $400million+ of Indirect categories (MRO, temp labor, CapEx, Facilities management and services, energy, freight/warehousing, fleet, professional / corporate services). Individual will work closely with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, engineering, quality, facilities, etc. to select and manage appropriate vendors with a focus on quality, cost and delivery. The Indirect Procurement leader will both lead strategy development AND drive execution and delivery.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, procurement/supply chain, economics, business administration etc. Advanced degree in supply chain, business or engineering preferred but not required
- 16+ years of professional experience (8+ in procurement) ; 4+in a managerial/supervisory role; 4+ in procurement, strategic sourcing of indirect to support manufacturing environments (MRO, CapEx, energy, fleet, freight / warehousing, facilities and corporate / professional services in an FDA regulated environment)
- Strong preference for experience with Fortune 500/250 best practices 6 or 7 step sourcing environments - in pharma, food/beverage, consumer health or related
- Change management or procurement transformation experience working to develop or implement strategic procurement
- Highly proficient with SAP or Oracle, Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
