Our Client:
Our client's mission is to transform renewable energy and energy efficiency, with a focus on the New York region. The goal is to maximize access to clean energy through community-driven projects and collaboration with local governments. With a foundation in Spain, the efforts now extend to various global regions, emphasizing sustainable development in the U.S. specifically in the NY region, focusing on Community Scale/DG project types.
🌟 Responsibilities:
- Engage with landowners, community leaders and environmental organizations to provide information throughout the development process.
- Work on Feasibility Reports
- Manage development activities of Renewable Energy projects, by utilizing Client’s internal Standard Procedures from Feasibility Study through Ready- to- Build stage.
- Manage the zoning and use permitting, land rights entitlements and compliance processes. Personally attending meetings and public hearings at local/county/state permitting boards.
- Develop Scope of Work, select, manage, and direct third party consultants and development partners.
- Coordinate with internal Teams, such as Interconnection Team and Environmental Affairs and Permitting, Legal Team, etc.
- Develop viable and economically sustainable new and existing Renewable Energy projects.
🎓 Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree with strong academic record from a leading undergraduate program, in engineering, business administration, and economics preferred.
- Ability to travel 2-3 times a year.
- 6+ years of project development related experience preferably in renewable energy. Specific experience of developing projects in New York State is preferred for this role.
- General understanding of renewable energy market trends and the resulting impacts on solar project development.
- Mastery in project management with the ability to identify and resolve potential project flaws and to prioritize critical path tasks.
