Financial Analyst
Location: Remote (Must be located in California)
Duration: 7-month contract
Pay Rate: up to $45/hour W2 (Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, LTD Insurance)
We are seeking a Financial Analyst for a 6-month remote contract within the healthcare industry. This role involves performing a variety of regular and moderately complex financial and budget analyses. You’ll provide critical insights to management and assist with financial processes under general supervision, working within established policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in preparing operational budgets by reviewing and analyzing departmental budget requests.
- Analyze and prepare financial reports for internal use and external agencies.
- Monitor budget expenditures, identify trends, and provide management with progress updates, written reports, and recommendations.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding business transactions.
- Collaborate with departmental managers and staff to resolve financial variances and improve reporting accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports and analyses to aid management in decision-making.
- Process financial transactions and reconcile accounts, resolving any issues that arise.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or discipline from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions to complex challenges.
- Ability to analyze financial data, draw conclusions, and make informed recommendations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Organizational and multitasking skills to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively as both a team player and a leader.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software relevant to budgeting and analysis.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to finance.
