We have partnered with a nationwide Behavioral Health organization to recruit for a Vice President of Managed Care to provide management of all payer contracting activities for their facilities across the USA.
As a Vice President of Managed Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing success of this well-established organization.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or business administration or related Master’s degree is preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 8 years of Manged Care experience within the Behavioral Health industry is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills & communication skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- The ability to negotiate contracts and build relationships with providers in the Behavioral Health space
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee, negotiate and drive the strategic direction of the organization’s contracts and their implementation
- Develop processes, manage implementation and ongoing management of completed contracts
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all contractual language
- Continually manage contract performance, regarding payment integrity, financial performance and compliance with contract terms
- Maintain familiarity with State and Federal regulations, laws and legislative agendas regarding health insurance, and managed care
- Identify and recommend processes which enhance and streamline the contracting process
