The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site, a $20-million Military Construction project. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties and be able to establish a timeline for completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of construction projects
- Maintaining a log on their projects and providing daily reports
- Communicating with the Project Manager and Operations Manager
- Communicating with Owners and Owner Representatives
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- Update subcontractors on project changes
- Maintaining a neat and organized job site
- Enforcing Site Safety Policies and compliance with OSHA, EM385-1-1, MSHA and Corporate Safety Program
- Scheduling all site work, deliveries, etc.
- Reviewing and understanding drawings and specifications
- Performing materials take-offs and ordering
- Enforcing company site policies
- Implementing and enforcing the project schedule
- Adhering to the project budget
- Identifying and communicating change of conditions outside scope of work
- Ensuring sites are prepared for inspections and arranging site inspections
- Understanding and implementing USACE 3-phase Quality Control Program
- Completing projects and project punchlists
- Recording total materials brought and completing inventory counts when deliveries are received
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends, if and when required
- Ability and willingness to perform labor and laborer duties when needed (Think material handling and sweeping)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 6-years construction experience (Required)
- 3 years of experience supervising construction sites with project values of $10+ million
- Knowledge/fluent use of MicroSoft Outlook/Word/Excel
- Knowledge/fluent use of U.S. Army Corps of Engineeers Resident Management System (RMS)
- Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle
- Ability to read construction documents and interpret blueprints/design drawings
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Extensive knowledge in commercial building renovation and construction
