Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Specialist to design and develop enterprise-level solutions from scratch. This is a hands-on, specialist role focused on creating and implementing systems that will be used by Atlassian users and developers. The role involves working in a high-scale environment supporting 1,000+ microservices and 6,000 users while managing tools, pipelines, and workflows.
This is not a developer, Jira admin, or operational role. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating tools, automating processes, and optimizing systems at an enterprise level.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Implementation: Build and implement DevOps systems and tools from the ground up. Integrate tools and workflows, ensuring seamless functionality across the organization.
- Tool & Pipeline Management: Install, maintain, and upgrade tools such as Jenkins, Jira, and SonarQube. Automate Jenkins pipelines and integrate them with Jira workflows.
- Collaboration: Work with developers and technology teams to build automation within Jira and other Atlassian suite tools. Ensure tools and pipelines meet organizational requirements.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Upon conversion, take on a Tech Lead role, mentoring team members and leading story delivery.
- Scripting & Cloud Deployment: Use Python scripting for automating deployments, specifically for deploying CloudFormation Templates (CFTs).
Key Qualifications:
- Proven ability to design and develop solutions from scratch at an enterprise level.
- Experience integrating and automating tools like Jenkins and Jira.
- Strong expertise in Jenkins automation and Jira integration (Jira automation experience preferred).
- Knowledge of the Atlassian suite, SonarQube, and related DevOps tools.
- Python scripting experience (mandatory).
- Ability to mentor team members and serve as a point of contact for project delivery.
- Experience handling large-scale DevOps systems supporting thousands of users is preferred.
- Familiarity with managing 1,000+ microservices in an enterprise environment is preferred.
