Scout HR is partnering with a major manufacturer of radio broadcast equipment to find a skilled Field Service Designer ready to support critical projects across the U.S. This is an incredible opportunity for experienced drafters who thrive in the field and are looking for a role with purpose.
Position Highlights:
📍 Location: Dallas, Texas (with 75% travel)
💰 Hourly Rate: $35-45/hr (straight time OT)
🛠️ Clearance Requirement: Must have an active Secret Clearance
🌍 Relocation: Open to out-of-state candidates
🍽️ Per Diem: Provided during travel assignments
Job Responsibilities:
- Field Support: Travel frequently with install teams, averaging 3+ months on-site per assignment, to redline any adjustments made on-site.
- Drafting Support: When back at the facility, support the drafting team by updating 2D models and occasionally assisting with new designs as needed.
- CAD Proficiency: Be prepared to take a basic CAD test during the interview process to demonstrate core drafting skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- Secret Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required for this role.
- 5-7+ years of experience in drafting, especially with 2D models.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time, with long-term on-site assignments.
- Detail-oriented individuals comfortable redlining changes on-the-go to ensure accuracy.
