Associate General Counsel - Financial Services Institution

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a talented and experienced Associate General Counsel to join our dynamic legal team.
The Associate General Counsel, will play a key role in supporting our legal and business operations by advising on and facilitating a wide range of complex transactions. The Associate General Counsel will work closely with senior management, business leaders, and other legal professionals to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and provide strategic legal guidance on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, financing arrangements, and other corporate matters.
Associate General Counsel - Responsibilities:
- Lead and advise on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of corporate commercial transactions
- Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations, including securities laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards
- Oversee due diligence processes for transactions, identifying legal risks and providing recommendations to mitigate potential issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, compliance, and operations, to provide legal guidance and ensure smooth execution of business strategies
Associate General Counsel - Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on financial services, mergers and acquisitions, securities, or corporate finance
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting complex legal agreements
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying legal issues
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
