Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Management: Oversee all aspects of ocean import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring seamless execution.
- Customer Communication: Maintain regular contact with customers, vendors, and team members via email and phone to ensure smooth operations.
- System Proficiency: Learn and apply the company’s operating systems while staying informed about ocean transportation and customs regulations.
- Customs and Compliance: Possess knowledge of AMS/ACE systems and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs requirements.
- Drayage Coordination: Manage trucking and drayage operations for ocean shipments.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with ocean carriers, terminal operators, and warehouse teams to streamline processes.
- Account Management: Adhere to account-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and generate timely reports for assigned accounts.
- Problem-Solving: Address issues proactively, finding effective resolutions to ensure high service levels.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
