Our client is a fashion accessories/jewelry company that's looking for a strong Regional Wholesale Sales candidate to manage the West Coast. Must be located in LA.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a strong knowledge of the brand and product including brand history, products, styling, materials and construction to share with store team members & consumers.
- Drive sales through regular store visits which include visual merchandising, education, and hosting of in-store events/private selling appointments
- Be the point of contact for in-store teams – provide product availability, shipping updates, and special order status updates to store team members as needed
- Partner with the company's National Account Director & and store management teams to schedule, plan and execute successful events
- Communicate business opportunities and/or risks to company's VP of Wholesale & National Account Director on a weekly basis
- Ensure jewelry cases are merchandised to brand standards and communicate any in-case display or product needs to conmpany's VP of Wholesale & National Account Director
- Execute seasonal product knowledge trainings in addition to new team member trainings throughout the season as needed
- Provide weekly review of territory sales and status updates on initiatives, regional selling trends, competitor feedback and consumer market trends/requests
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the luxury sales industry, preferably in national department stores
- Comfort with heavy travel and booking/coordinating of travel on your own TRAVEL: 80%
- Excellent communication skills both in-person and electronically
- Existing public speaking skills and comfort speaking in front of crowds
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong creative & problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Strong selling abilities and comfort working in a luxury selling environment
- Pro-active, flexible and able to adapt/pivot in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Proficient in reading and writing in English
- Able to work varied and irregular hours/days including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, move and handle merchandise/fixtures within boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to create and maintain strategic relationships with retail teams
- Knowledge of current, past and future trends within jewelry, fashion and design
- Past jewelry experience is a plus but not required
