Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking experienced History Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year at K-12 independent schools in Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities of the History Teacher:
- Develop and organize a history curriculum for the grade/s assigned that meets school standards.
- Establish standards of student performance which can be quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated.
- Develop knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned.
- Promote students' critical and creative thinking and analysis and develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate.
Requirements of the History Teacher:
- Bachelor’s degree in history (or related field)
- At least 1-3 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level
- Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred
- Geographic flexibility is preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
