Job Location: 100% REMOTE - our HQ is in Redwood City, CA
Compensation: $150K - $300K DOE
Requirements: Compiler Development, LLVM/MLIR/Halide, C/C++, AI/ML Accelerators
Our mission is to radically reduce the cost of artificial intelligence. To help us with this ambitious goal, were looking for a Senior Compiler Engineer to support the development of a custom ML compiler for our AI processors.

What You Will Be Doing
- You will develop an optimized compiler backend that provides state-of-the-art compilation for a customized set of lower-level ML operations
- You will participate in the development of a testing framework and performance analysis tools for the compiler backend
- You will work closely with the architecture team on an ongoing basis, including designing ISA extensions to enable efficient use of our accelerators for deep learning
- You will work closely with the algorithms and application software teams on new and emerging ML models
- You will stay up to date with the latest research and trends in compiler design and implementation
- You will mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the team
What You Need for this Position
Must Have a Bachelor's, Master's, Or PhD In Computer Science Or a Similar Degree With 5+ Years Of Experience With The Following
- Compiler development, with a focus on back-end code generation, optimization, and analysis
- Experience in ML compilers for deep learning
- Experience in compiler optimizations, synthesis, code generation, programming models, and computer architecture
- Experience with back-end compiler technologies, such as LLVM
- Excellent programming skills in Assembly, C/C++ and Python
- The ability to write quality, annotated code, and constructively critique code during code review
- A track record of ownership of systems software infrastructure
- Exhibit a high degree of motivation and independence
- Familiarity with Deep Learning models and willingness to learn novel algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing using current ML compilers frameworks (e.g. TVM, ONNX Runtime, Google XLA)
- Experience with core compiler frameworks and PL technologies (e.g. LLVM, MLIR, Halide)
- Experience with using generative code techniques (e.g. TableGen, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
- Familiarity with RISC-V
