- Our repeat client, a public housing authority, has been assisting low income individuals in Anne Arundel County for over 50 years. Due to growth, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team!

- Schedule: 100% in office in Glen Burnie, MD, 8-4:30pm, M-F, 37.5 hour work week
- Reports directly to the CFO
Job Duties:
- Reviews and balances the General Ledger; posts journal entries to the General Ledger
- Assists in the establishment of SOPs that are in accordance with GAAP
- Approves and prepares invoices for payment
- Reviews and prepares accruals and statements
- Prepares and maintains Capital Assets and Utility Consumption registers
- Compiles materials for annual audit and performs internal audits as necessary
- Prepares and maintains various accounting records for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Records all monetary transactions
- Reconciles vendor statements and general ledger accounts as necessary
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, or related field a plus
- 5+ years of bookkeeping, general ledger, or other relevant work experience required or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in public housing a huge plus
- Experience using Yardi a plus
- Supervisory skills a plus
- Highly proficient Excel skills
