Interim Controller - Hybrid in DC
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a nonprofit organization who has been around for over 30 whose goal is to increase economic opportunity in underserved communities in DC.
- Due to a project, they are looking for a temporary Controller.
- Duration: 3+ months
- Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
- Pay: $55-60/hr - depending on experience
- Location: Washington, DC - Hybrid (2 in, 3 remote)

Overview of the Interim Controller role:
- Manage the month-end close process and assist with producing financial reports
- Lead the year-end close process
- Assist with the upcoming audit
- Ad hoc projects/reporting
Preferred Qualifications for the Interim Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- Non-profit experience is required
- Experience with Sage Intaact is a plus
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
