Arthrex Manufacturing, Ave Maria, FL, is actively seeking a Master Scheduler to manage and maintain all phases of the Master Production Schedule; develop, recommend, review, implement, and maintain the tools and techniques necessary to analyze the impact of proposed schedule changes on plant and machine load. A High school diploma or equivalent required plus a minimum of 8 years’ experience, or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Production Planning / Scheduling or related discipline is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of forecast demand, production costs, inventory costs, customer orders, inventory levels, lot size, production lead time, capacity, and historical run rates.
- Gather Data for production schedules for bottlenecks and equipment down situations, suggest changes for increased efficiency, work with cross functional teams to achieve an alternate plan of action in order to maximize customer fulfillment
- Integrate overall business plan with Operations and INC supply chain.
- Communicate and Improve product delivery commitments and accuracy to the customer base and internal stakeholders
- Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the manufacturing plan which includes but not limited to the following
- Analyze & plan forecasted requirements for material in conjunction with the capacity planning team.
- Develop and communicate production and non-conformance priorities
- Master data and planning data maintenance
- Review and correct work orders with financial variances
- Effectivity management as it relates to engineering change orders
- Extensive knowledge of good inventory practices
- Conduct weekly operations & planning meeting
- Identify & resolve/communicate conflicts with respect to materials & capacity availability
- Act as an internal educator on Master scheduling methods and systems
- Work with cross-functional departments and with contract manufacturers
- Review and act upon action message reports from MRP system.
- Interact with customers to adjust and/or provide feedback on delivery date prior to orders going late.
- Release work orders at appropriate times
- Coordinate with shop floor leads daily on the status of work orders
- Major stakeholder in planning key performance indicators/metrics
- Ensure lot control accuracy
- Reschedule identical processes to eliminate duplicate setups. Say something about good scheduling practices
- May supervise Supply Chain employees
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required plus a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Production Planning / Scheduling or related discipline required OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Production Planning / Scheduling or related discipline required.
- CPIM /APICS certification a plus
- Advanced Excel skills Extensive knowledge of MRP systems
- Strong Manufacturing and Operations background with experience in SAP desired
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple issues at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision
- Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Works well across all business functions and geographic areas
- Full working knowledge of master scheduling or scheduling experience.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Microsoft Office; SAP or experience with ERP systems required. Knowledge of material flow, recordkeeping, understanding of BOM’s/routers/prints, general manufacturing processes, shop floor scheduling, and capacity management required. Supervisory experience preferred.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
