Maintenance Manager - Manufacturing
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a background in Manufacturing industries to oversee the maintenance and repairs of production machines and equipment as well as Fleet management and direct reports. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives.
Job Type: Full Time/On-call (45-50hrs/week), On-Site
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance and fleet teams
- Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, such as cutting machines, assembly lines, and robotic arms.
- Identify areas of improvement, enact process changes, and optimize overall facility and transportation efficiency
- Oversee all transportation functions with a goal of maximizing capacity utilization
- Maintain high levels of safety and security throughout the facility while ensuring that all maintenance operations are performed efficiently and according to protocol.
- Collaborate with production managers to schedule and execute maintenance work that minimizes production interruptions.
- Track maintenance expenses and prepare regular reports to senior management to ensure that maintenance costs remain within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, equipment, and utilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment and facility infrastructure is properly maintained to avoid downtime.
Requirements of the Maintenance Manager:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Maintenance and/or Facility Management experience
- Experience with Millwork, Windows, and Doors in a manufacturing setting is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, equipment, and machines
- Skilled and experienced with overseeing multiple teams and departments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven expertise in managing warehouse and transportation operations.
- Strong project management and analytical abilities
