Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Develop, monitor, and manage the hospital's annual budget.
- Provide financial forecasts to guide operational and strategic decisions.
- Analyze financial performance and present actionable insights to senior management.
- Cost Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the quality of care.
- Monitor and control hospital expenses, including staffing, procurement, and operational costs.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Support leadership in evaluating investment opportunities and capital projects.
- Analyze profitability of services and recommend resource allocation adjustments.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor an analyst
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Preferred of the Finance Manager
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of finance management experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospital sector.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Salary: $130,000k- $150,000k
