Copper Basin Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with various cooking equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
