Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their team in a hands-on role, focusing on the development of 3D plant designs and detailed engineering drawings. This is an onsite position with an emphasis on collaboration and precision.

Responsibilities:

Develop 3D models of equipment and structures to produce comprehensive plant designs.
Generate orthographic and isometric drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), arrangement details, and location plans.
Collaborate closely with engineers to support projects for operating facilities, creating layouts and detailed drawings for equipment, including plan views, sections, and elevations.
Assist in proposal work by developing conceptual plant layouts and generating orthographic views.
Review and correct vendor drawings, ensuring accuracy and coordinating submittals as directed.
Adhere to established CAD standards and guidelines specific to the industrial gases industry.
Report directly to the Design Department Manager.
Collaborate with various departments and workgroups as required.
Participate in departmental training programs, seminars, and online training sessions.

Qualifications:

A two-year degree in engineering or drafting technology from a recognized technical institute is required.
A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant coursework is a plus.
Proficiency in CADWORKS 3D, AutoCAD, or BricsCAD design software is essential.
Experience with cryogenic piping and working within the Industrial Gases Industry is highly desirable.
A solid understanding of pipe stress analysis and pipe supports.
Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a team environment, working across multiple disciplines.
