MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have J.D. from an accredited school and be licensed to practice in Florida.

Must have 1 - 5 years of legal experience.

Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess communication, analytical and writing skills.

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After-hours will be necessary at times.

**Salary is commensurate with experience.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Professional legal work defending clients in medical malpractice and insurance defense cases. Develop legal strategy, arguments, and testimony to prepare case for trial. Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings. Conduct complex legal research, analysis, and writing. Prepare discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, medical summaries, and case evaluation reports. Select and work with expert witnesses to review medical facts and theories. Evaluate and understand medical facts and literature. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and paralegals to accomplish clients’ goals. No book of business is required.
