What Will You Be Doing?
The inspector will spend about 60% of shift inspecting product, 30% sorting product and 10% tending to a vision system. Inspector will need to be proficient using micrometers and calipers in order to measure and inspect parts.

Inspect, test, or measure materials, products or work for conformance to specifications.
Perform first article/ISIR dimensional inspection layouts.
Ability to understand and create/complete PPAP documentation
Support and complete SPC inspection and dimensional layout requirements.
Demonstrates working knowledge of all computer applications, measurement equipment (CMM, Comparator, etc.) in the quality room and on the shop floor.
Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as comparators, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Mark items with details such as grade or pass-fail status.
Sort any bad product found for the defective dimension.
Notify supervisors, owners or workers of production problems.
Advise others on ways to improve processes or products.
Compute defect percentages or averages, using formulas and calculators.
Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results.
Conduct the first part(s) of inspection.

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
Micrometer: 3 years (Required)
comparator: 3 years (Preferred)
GD&T: 3 years (Preferred)
PPAP: 3 years (Preferred)
small parts inspection: 3 years (Preferred)
first article inspection: 3 years (Required)

Shift availability:

1st shift (6am-2pm)
2nd shift (2pm-10pm)

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
