Job Overview

Sports Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services including evaluation, assessment, treatment, follow-up, and documentation for all patients/athletes based on clinical assessments and patient/athlete objectives. Must maintain a respectful, kind, energetic, and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities and Duties

Evaluate and assess patients’/athletes’ physical conditions, needs, and goals
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient/athlete evaluations, progress, treatments, and notes
Develop and maintain individualized treatment programs for patient/athlete based on clinical assessment and patient/athlete objectives
Implement treatments such as trigger point dry needling with or without e-stimulation, cupping, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and/or IASTM
Monitor patient/athlete progress and adjust treatment plan, if necessary
Maintain clean and organized clinical space
Actively develop AND foster relationships with local gyms, and professional sports organization including community events
Comfortable speaking in front of small groups for educational clinics
Assist in annual Fire Rescue Throwdown competition
Communicate respectfully, kindly and professionally with patients/athletes, staff, providers, etc. in fun and engaging manner
Courteously share the clinic space with other staff members and patients/athletes
Lead by example by living an active lifestyle

Qualifications

Master of Physical Therapy/Doctorate of Physical Therapy, required
State-specific Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), required
Sports Background-preferred sport, recommended
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), recommended
Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), recommended
Emergency Medical Responder (ERM) Certification, recommended
