Dean Dorton Healthcare Solutions, one of Kentucky’s premier medical billing and credentialing companies, is seeking a detail oriented and results driven Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to join our Healthcare Consulting team.

In this role, you will perform critical functions for Dean Dorton Healthcare Solutions clients, which includes physicians, medical practice groups, and other healthcare entities.

Specific job responsibilities include:

Completing physician credentialing applications and revalidations for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Tracking status of applications and following up with payers throughout the credentialing process to ensure optimal timely enrollment.
Tracking issues related to credentialing, including quick resolution and updates to the client.
Initiating contracts with payers, with new physician practice setups.
Tracking and maintaining appropriate licensure, certificates, insurance, and DEA certificates for providers, as well as updating information in Intellisoft and CAQH.
Reviewing and researching upcoming changes in credentialing requirements.
Reporting on provider enrollment, and updating the provider, practice manager, and billing department immediately to ensure quick claim payments.

Job requirements:

Dean Dorton is a fast paced work environment that requires multi-tasking and superior organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in credentialing different provider types. In addition, we are looking for someone who:

Has experience with credentialing in multiple states and experience using the Intellisoft database.
Has experience in EFT setup with various payers.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality, following all HIPAA policies and procedures.
Maintains a high attention to detail and has excellent record keeping skills.
Works independently, taking initiative on a variety of tasks and projects.
