Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

The Manager of Cardiovascular Lab Services is responsible for planning, directing and administration of the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Lab (Special Procedures), Pre/Post Holding Unit and staff to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis according to the HCA Mission, Vision, and Values.
This first-line manager plans, coordinates, and manages elements such as scheduling, personnel, and other resources in order to provide the highest quality care with trained, professional, and competent staff in a safe and efficient manner. The Manager will have the responsibility for the education, competencies, quality service for all nursing and technology functions within the cardiology service program. The Manager will be responsible for the staff performance and the accomplishment of department responsibilities and goals in accord with corporate, hospital, department, and safe policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements.
They will partner with their peers, leadership and providers in maintaining the growth and success of the cardiovascular services department. They will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other health care disciplines to assure efficient, cost-effective patient care. They will supervise the scheduling component for procedures done in the cardiovascular services department. They will also communicate with revenue services as well as billing and coding to support revenue integrity in the cardiovascular services.
The Cardiovascular Services Manager will manage daily operations by continually planning, managing, implementing and evaluating operations/services to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness. They will implement strategies and programs to incorporate evidence-based tactics, technologies, and services to enhance the level of care provided to patients. Under the guidance of the Surigcal Services Director, the Cardiovascular Services Manager will share responsibilities with their colleagues in the cardiovascular services department and supervise inpatient Clinical Nurse Coordinators as well as front-facing staff in their day-to-day performance, ensuring that department goals and milestones are met. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to and acting as liaison with patients and their representatives, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management, and for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Furthermore, the manager will assist the administrator in QA and PI projects

What qualifications you will need:

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Bachelors Degree
