Compensation: $71,000 - $80,000

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity for candidates with a Journeyman's card or 7+ years of direct electrician experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work on manufacturing equipment and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical work on machines within a manufacturing environment, specifically CNC machining equipment.
Conduct industrial and electrical maintenance on high voltage systems (480V, 120V) and low voltage systems (down to 24V DC).
Troubleshoot and repair various electrical components, including PLCs, frequency drives, proximity switches, light screens, and safety circuits.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
Understand and navigate parameters of program frequency drives and work with controls engineers for system integration.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:
Journeyman's card or 7+ years of DIRECT electrician experience.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically on manufacturing equipment (not facilities maintenance).
Proficiency in industrial maintenance and electrical maintenance, including high voltage (480V) and low voltage circuitry (24V DC).
Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred) and the ability to adjust parameters of frequency drives.
CNC machining experience is preferred, especially with Fanuc and Siemens controllers.
Strong troubleshooting skills for various electrical components and systems.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
Candidates with significant expertise in either CNC systems or PLC systems are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information:

Pay Rate: $40 per hour, with a $1 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Shifts: New hires will likely start on the 2nd (2 PM - 10 PM) or 3rd shift (10 PM - 6 AM).
Overtime: The union contract allows for mandated overtime, including 2/3 Saturdays a month. Overtime pay is 1.5x hourly for hours over 40 and 2x hourly for Sundays and holidays.
