Need two QC inspectors that have been in a welding shop environment for at least 5 years if uncertified. I prefer someone who has done weld inspection and knows what to look for.

We can work with employee to develop skills and training in the future such as attaining CWI, NACE, API, etc..

Responsibilities Include:

Approve in –process and finish production by confirming specifications; conducting visual examinations; returning for re-work, confirming re-work
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs
Coordinate with QA Manager on all welding procedures and qualifications.
Oversee paint process to insure coating meets specifications. Review reports and DFT’s. Holiday testing etc..
Coordinate with third party NDT company for shop testing
Review NDT results
Check hydrostatic test packages for compliance before testing
Prepare nonconformance reports and corrective actions.
Equipment calibration and documentation
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task

Qualifications:

CWI or CWIA
NACE certification preferred or with min 3 yrs experience
Ability to follow instruction given both verbally and written

**as part of employee development, KBK will cover cost of additional training after successful completion of 90 day probational period.

Experience:

Organizational and documentation skills
Familiar with production in the steel fabrication industry ASME IX, B31.1/B31.3/ AWS D1.1/API Q1/ISO 9001
