A-1 Jays Machining, Inc. is looking to hire a full time Estimator that specializes in producing quotes in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have an expansive knowledge of quoting parts for: 3 axis, 5 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Wire EDM, Lapping, Sheetmetal, and Grinding. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist would make an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities

Analyzing required documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the quote
Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
Managing bids from vendors and contractors
Using bid data to prepare a detailed quote

Requirements

Ability to work in a team environment
Meticulous attention to detail
Flexible, ability to work in a fast pace environment
Microsoft Office, Word and Excel experience a plus
Job Boss familiarity
Machinist background (min. 5 years of experience)
Ability to quote parts for the following sectors: 3 axis, 5 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Wire EDM, Lapping, and Grinding
