Job Location: Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches (On-Site)

If you are an experienced event manager who can raise sponsorship revenue and oversee and execute various events, we are looking for you!

In this position, you would be responsible for:

preparing tailored sponsorship packages, and planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events to ensure successful outcomes for the organization and its clients from start to finish;
managing event budgets, including allocating resources and tracking expenses;
implementing effective time management strategies to meet event deadlines;
negotiating and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events;
upselling event packages and services to maximize revenue opportunities
collaborating with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance;
providing excellent guest services and ensuring attendee satisfaction.

Among other admirable qualities helpful to getting the job done well, the successful candidate for this position should possess the following skills:

logistics and time management
effective budget management, upselling, and negotiating
event management and marketing strategy
hospitality, with a focus on creating good memorable experiences
communication and emotional intelligence
creative problem-solving skills

Ideally, the following qualifications are desired:

Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field
Two years or more experience in event planning and coordination
proven track record of organizing successful events
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

In exchange for your time and expertise, the compensation package includes:

$24 per hour
a performance-based incentive
