Tacoma family law firm is seeking a full-time Family Law Associate Attorney.

The Law Firm of Sophia M. Palmer is accepting resumes from attorneys, preferably with 3+ years of family law and litigation experience, or an interest in practicing family law, who are looking for a collegial work atmosphere, work/life balance, mentorship, and professional growth as well as a competitive compensation package.

Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a commitment to the highest quality legal work and client customer service. The most qualified applicant will be licensed to practice law in Washington State, have experience in every stage of a family law case and have experience practicing in Pierce, King, Kitsap and Thurston Counties. Excellent research and writing, analytical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

In addition, your qualifications should meet most of the following:

Understand the principles of client customer service excellence but also be able to deliver great client care at every encounter.

Strong research skills.

Exemplary attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

A solid work ethic and the ability to work independently.

Ability to work as a team, in a team environment.

A positive attitude, the ability to set priorities and work under pressure, and the ability to establish a good rapport with firm attorneys and clients are vital.

Timely communicating with the Managing Attorney and team members to continue developing skill set and taking on more challenging legal issues. Working with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.

Strong analytical, written & oral communication skills.

Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects.
