McLain & Merritt, a well-established, mid-sized Buckhead law firm, seeks attorneys with 1+ years of experience to join our team in defense of insured and self-insured retailers and other businesses in a fast-paced premises liability and tort defense practice. The associate would be actively involved in all aspects of litigation from inception to conclusion, including client and witness meetings, drafting motions and briefs, depositions, hearings, mediations, trial preparation, and trials for Fortune 500 clients.

Duties:

- Litigate premises liability and other tort cases with our team from inception through trial in Georgia state and federal courts.

- Pleadings, motion practice, depositions, dispositive motions, pre-trial proceedings, trial, post-trial motions, and appeals.

- Client contact and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

- Admission to the state bar association.

- 1+ years of post-J.D. experience with insurance defense, premises liability, trial practice, civil litigation, and/or judicial clerkship.

- Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, and organizational skills.

- Drive and passion for trial practice.

This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, and opportunities for discretionary bonuses biannually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
