Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) is the world’s 8th largest pure-play specialty semiconductor foundry, based in Taiwan. VIS Micro, Inc. is our California-based office, and is responsible for sales and account support, and business development in North America. Our semiconductor technologies include the following: logic CMOS, mixed-signal, BCD, BiCMOS, High-Voltage SOI, UHV (ultra-high voltage), Magnetic Sensors, MEMS Sensors (Gyro, G-Sensor, Pressure, Ultrasonic), Discrete power and RF, and Display Driver ICs.

Key Responsibilities :

Bridge customers’ support needs with internal support teams to provide timely and accurate answers, solutions
Promote the company’s technologies and be proactive with up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
Support and participate in Business Development related activities, as needed.
Support revenue growth in North America, covering all key semiconductor applications and market trends (existing and emerging).

Support NA customer technology related activities include:

Technology introduction and customer request match/recommendation
PDK, design manual support with customer
Customer design support – from start to PG
Check and compare competitor’s technology and feedback to RD for an improvement

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences:

BS in Engineering, Physics, or related field; Advanced degrees preferable.
10+ years of technical sales, business development, or power semiconductor technology related job function.
Familiarity with semiconductor processes, devices; circuit design and CAD design environments, with in-depth experience in at least one of these areas.
Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Ability and willingness to travel (mostly, but not entirely, within the US) ~25% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Process Design Kits (PDK), technology files, device and process specifications
Familiarity with Analog, Power Management, Mixed-Signal, MEMS, Automotive product design and applications.

Personal Attributes:

Legally authorized to work in the US.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with fluency in English presentations.
Ability to work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
